Detecting tampered electric meter and their 24x7 monitoring using a rasberry pi. The modbus communicate using RS-485 protocol for serial communication and consist of 4 types of registers i.e coils, input bits, input register, holding register. And for us only input register was important as we used pymodbus python library to read the data readings and transmit it to our cloud.
